Pros

Decent patient to nurse ratios. Good medical and nursing care provided to patients. Competitive wages. Good team work among the nurses.

Cons

Union negotiations have prevented raises for the last several years. Patient population are over privileged and demanding. Doctor's can sometimes be resistant to suggestions. Parking is expensive and difficult on the dayshift.

Pros

Great people to work with and good company and benefits. Within the department there were flexible schedule opportunities. Larger company offers a little more stability then some of the smaller companies, especially during difficult economic times.

Cons

The only major con was that the company was large enough that it was difficult when reductions had to be made company wide. When some cuts are required and letting people go from already tight departments creates difficult situation
