      Cons

      Sutter Health comp philosophy is not to be the leader in pay. Patient care is sub level to other healthcare such as UCSF and Stanford . Nurse turnover is high because of pay . Health benefits now have co pay for ambulatory services . Staffing levels have decreased and put more stress on staff while they continue to be top heavy and hire more leadership.

      Pros

      Sutter is a BIG company--65,000 employees, hundreds of locations. I've worked at about a dozen different locations and they each offer a different experience. So it doesn't surprise me that reviews vary so much. Most of my work experiences were wonderful, some were a struggle. Currently, I am part of an amazing team with a supportive director. The thing that has kept me around are the benefits, flexibility and training opportunities.

      Cons

      Inconsistent culture, processes, expectations -- not only from location to location, but floor to floor. It all depends on who is managing.
