Mismanaged

Pros

Decent benefits. Average pay. Not a lot of room for advancement

Cons

Lower pay than Kaiser and way more work. Management harassment of employees not uncommon. High turn over. Understaffed and happy to remain that way. Little consistency (in pay and management) across different Sutter facilities. Nurses are asked to work extra to cover staffing but in the end are under appreciated. Lots and f young inexperienced RNs in critical care areas.

Pros

Great pay Great benefits Decent hours Growth opportunities Yearly Bonus

Cons

Management is money driven Smaller departments suffer Older employees “look the other way” I felt uncomfortable (inappropriate conversation from a coworker) and nothing was ever done If your department doesn’t make a lot of money, don’t expect a nice work environment

Okay, depends on your leaders

Pros

Decent place to work but they've cut a ton of retirement benefits lately. If you have a strong manager and director the work experience is good. The pay is reasonable, but they are hiring mostly foreign employees to save money.

Cons

Money problems have caused business leaders to make cuts to benefits and job positions.
