Pay could be better for hardworking and efficient phlebotomist that are loyal and dedicated to the department.

Didn't provide enough support or staffing to do the very hard work needed but then dinged us in annual reviews for not meeting their goals. I always felt gaslit by this and that this was an institutional way to suppress wages. Whether that was the intent or not, it was a common sentiment among staff. It was incredibly stressful. I left after working there for many years when told I would have to work every other weekend both days because it wasn't fair to new hires. They also kept reducing the amount of PTO we could accrue over the years. I worked at 150% of capacity every day and the reduction in benefits and being asked to work weekends felt incredibly demoralizing.
