      Pros

      Great benefits, collaborative environment, and lots of employee events/recognition, nice campus, great walking paths.

      Cons

      Difficult to make lateral career advancement, as shared services model is"flat", it is more likely that you can move around to other departments rather than grow in your "niche" , this may or may not be a bad thing- but in my case I tried to move up in my group for 3+ years and quite honestly, no one above me was even close to thinking about leaving or retirement. A shared services environment , in many of the entry to mid level roles anyway, is very heavy on data processing simply due tot he amount of employees supported. If you love data entry you will be happy as a clam.
