A stepping stone, not a destination

Pros

Paychecks were always on time.

Cons

A highly political workplace where favoritism often overshadowed merit. The culture lacked transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Employees were expected to meet standards that did not always appear to be applied consistently across the organization. Trust was difficult to build, and the environment often rewarded politics over performance.

Pros

At Swaps Monitor, you will learn much about financial markets (central banks/payments systems, stock and futures exchanges, economic events/indicators that move markets, and other related topics) and world cultures. You will also learn how to build effective relationships. The company offers generous compensation and good benefits and promotes a welcoming, supportive, and fun culture. If you are open-minded and driven, there are plenty of opportunities to grow into other roles. Swaps Monitor is the place to be if you like to be challenged. Once, when describing Swaps Monitor, one of my colleagues said that we are not unlike the CIA, except that we don't assassinate people! :D Like the CIA, Swaps Monitor invests heavily in its employees and facilitates gathering intelligence and developing relationships to get the most accurate and timely information from sources in the field.

Cons

You should expect to sometimes work long hours due to certain unpredictable global events.
