Pros

Great pay and benefits, no micro-managing managers, honorable company that does the right thing for the customers, knowledgeable skilled team members, focus on improvement, working with music gear (what we are passionate about), company has a great reputation around town, Fort Wayne has a low cost of living and you are able to save up money and provide for a family well, lots of good training to keep you sharp, and just a great company culture.

Cons

Tough to get time off during holidays (because it’s retail and it’s the busy time of the year), no remote work option, much time spent on a computer or on the phone (desk job), sometimes it can be tough to get time off at the times you want off depending on how busy it is (requires planning ahead a bit), income can feel low for that first year as you establish your base of customers and experience a lot of rejection. But it really picks up as you stick with it!

Pros

The money. Have met a bunch of amazing people in the industry, get to check out new gear constantly, Fort Wayne we a great place to live with very low cost of living, and did I mention the Money? The ramp up of what the average engineer makes year over year is awesome. A lot of benefits, doctors office on site, hair salon, restaurant, gym, small game area. Constantly learning more about audio/video etc

Cons

Time. They ask for almost all of it. And has gotten worse the longer I’ve worked here. 44 hours a week, but always have more work and go over closer to 50 to keep up. Never a constant schedule for week days, shifts are early one day late the next, and mandatory random weekends you have to sell to get rid of. Usually 2 weekends a month. Very tough to plan any type of vacation at all unless I’m extreme advance. Something a company of this size should not have a problem with.
