Pros

Great benefits package for full time employees. Great amenities on campus, discounted/free to employees. Great culture & values. Music Store management encourages very healthy work/life balance. Plenty of upward and lateral mobility available; six of my department members were promoted within the department or took positions in different departments in a 12-month period. Yearly merit increase (pay raise). Employee social and community events including cookouts and tickets to local zoo and sports games.

Cons

Below average base pay in certain positions (offset by benefits). Music Store and Fulfillment Center have different management structure and polices; can feel like two different companies jointed together. Music Store struggles to reward high performers. Merit raise is flat rate percentage based, and truly merited raises are not often given outside of promotions.

Growing company and all the perks of being on the “winning team” in music retail

Cons

A growing company means more eyes on each and every process. HR has little accountability in the entire hiring process, and often, weeks pass before they respond to emails.

Pros

Good work atmosphere, clean(for a warehouse) employees are all nice and friendly. Music plays throughout the warehouse, Diner options for lunch and drinks. Pace of work is very doable. Other benefits are reasonable, a lot more PTO than I have had at previous jobs.

Cons

Sometimes you don’t get a lot of direction from management, but the upside is a manager isn’t breathing down your neck. Some of the boxes are heavy, but management does promote team lifting.
