Whirlwind, but Rewarding

Pros

I have been at Sweetwater for about a year and a half now as a Sales Engineer. I can safely say that with how business has picked up through the pandemic, I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else. If you’re thinking of applying for sales, there’s not a bad time to get in at Sweetwater. The role is incredibly rewarding, fun in a lot of ways, and working on commission means there is no cap on what you can earn. The only cap is you!

Cons

I will admit, there have been some downsides to this job. At the end of the day, it is still a retail job. You’ll have to work a weekend every once in awhile, you may have to take on later shifts, and the holiday season I wouldn’t plan on traveling too far. Even on days off, you are still encouraged to potentially come in just to process orders for your customers. It is demanding, it is fast paced, and admittedly the job is not for everyone at the end of the day.

Pros

Sweetwater, from the top down, truly aligns and rally's its behavior around the understanding that profit, and the pursuit of it, is not the mission or the goal. It's a byproduct / outcome of it. The mission of the company is to always do the right thing for our customers, vendors and our people, and is brought to life everyday and is essentially everywhere you look. There are so many of us that connect to this and really love our work and Sweetwater, and would do anything for the company as a result.

Cons

At times we move so fast, that we forget to slow down and fully explain the "why" and or connection to our purpose. The paradoxical meaning of festina lente, says it all!

Pros

Incredible work environment where you are empowered and encouraged to "do the right thing". The campus is amazing and filled with awesome amenities (medical clinic, workout facility, top notch diner / restaurant, salon, etc, etc).....and how cool is it to be surrounded by people who are passionate about music and helping our customers fulfill their dreams!

Cons

The work can be fast-paced. I really don't see this as a downside; however, that environment is not for everyone. It is extremely rewarding for those who embrace it.
