Pros

Sweetwater is a place that rewards consistent high performance with promotions. Since starting 2 years ago, I have received 6 promotions. The people I work with are amazing. The culture of Sweetwater is great for the most part but often feels forced and not fed. The employee purchase program is great. The on site gym, salon, and clinic are a nice touch.

Cons

DC Food is poor quality and overpriced. The pricing matches the main building but the food is no where near the quality. The biggest reason people leave is because they can't afford to stay. I have lost countless great employees because they could not afford to eat and pay the bills. Even at my level, the salary is well below the area average. Vacation time is nice but we are not allowed to take unpaid vacations.

Pros

The people you work with in the sale department are amazing. They are still some of the best friends I have, and I would visit Fort Wayne just to see them. Mike Clem is also likely the smartest person in E-commerce, and he genuinely believes in the Sales Engineer centric model, he has done amazing things to create tools that benefit the sales-marketing cooperation.

Cons

This job can burn you out. As a person with ADHD, it destroyed my competency in a few areas because I was unable to mono task for long periods of time. Since any Sales Engineer's customer can call in and make your phone ring, and your answer rate is tracked and enforced. Your attention is essentially held by the whims of the public. Then while you're being put in an environment where you're essentially blocked from mono tasking, your going to be coached to do many good proactive things that will help you earn more money, but they require time spent mono-tasking which means either showing up early or staying late inorder to get your 6 hours of available time plus actually have time to mono task the proactive stuff. My main issue is that they let the sales VP tell a few lies. I didn't know that you weren't supposed to take management at face value so I was disappointed when some changes that were promised to be fully tested and working before they were deployed were completely broken for the first week.
