Pros

I have been working with Sweetwater for just over one year. I was hired as a Business Analyst within the IT department. During my first year, I was able to participate in the design and planning of adding software functionality that would accommodate multi-campus ordering. I have been privileged to work with highly intelligent developers, involved department leaders and knowledgable stakeholders. Sweetwater excels at recognizing and promoting people. Even as a new member of the team, I felt that my opinion mattered and I was an active contributor on the project. I have now worked closely with C-level Executives, VP's and the company's President and continue to feel like we are all important players on the same team. Sweetwater employees very much put the customer first and take pride in the ability to deliver quality solutions quickly. I also enjoy working in an evolving industry with people who consistently promote the impact of music in the world. I very much appreciate and take advantage of all the great campus perks, from the on campus diner and cafe to the medical clinic and fitness center and most of all the positive energy and frequent on campus live music.

Cons

The music industry is historically male dominated. I think Sweetwater is taking the appropriate steps to contribute to the evolution of diversity in this industry by providing leadership development opportunities and actively pursuing diverse applicants.

Pros

Pay was decent, lots of good people in the company and Ft Wayne area, Diner food was great.

Cons

Poor middle management (My manager was in the position clearly on their ability to perform the job, not the ability to manage. Treated inferior employees like dirt). Maybe I drew the short straw, but this made working here unbearable. Benefits are outdated. Very few paid holidays and paid days off. Though the health plan was fine. Diversity here is a joke. Mostly white men in upper management and even down to middle management and "corporate" roles.

Pros

Sweetwater is a fast pace, innovative company, that is always improving the way it operates. Pleanty of room for advancement for those who strive to be better and want to grow in their field. I've read many reviews on this website and wonder how many of the reviews are from disgruntled employees upset because they were denied multiple smoke breaks or such. I've worked in the warehouse and the main building, and gave an honest days work. I was always happy to work there and enjoy the vast benefits Sweetwater offered, like a diner or site, a doctor and a nurse that is free of charge, arcade, holiday parties, summer outings and so much more.

Cons

Always changing and sometimes that can cause stress to certain managers and that flows downhill.
