Pros

If you're someone who likes music and/or music technology gear or other instruments you'll enjoy selling with Sweetwater. Unrivaled back-end systems set Sweetwater far ahead of the competition. Very nice facilities with a focus on employees. You can earn as much (or as little) compensation as you like. It's all up to you.

Cons

General company policies have to be skewed to the lowest common denominator. This can be a problem as a company grows and frustrating for the majority of the employees. Although complex to implement it would be nice to have more scheduling flexibility as well as the ability to "opt out" of redundant meetings.

Pros

If you are into Pro Audio and music, then this job offers you the opportunity to work in some way with the best gear available. Sweetwater has earned the reputation of having top-notch customer service and one-on-one relationships between salespeople and their customers, so if that's something you believe in, this is somewhere you can live it. This is an excellent environment for a professional, self-motivated employee who is ready for a challenge. Employees are expected to take ownership of their job responsibilities and act accordingly without being micro-managed. It is an open, collaborative environment. There are numerous employee perks, from the amenities at the facility itself, to several company-sponsored events each year, not only for employees, but for their immediate families too. There is also a generous employee discount for purchasing the music instruments and gear that Sweetwater sells.

Cons

At Sweetwater, you will probably work harder and faster than anywhere else you've ever worked. If you like a challenge, that's great, if not, then maybe not so much. Expectations are usually that tasks and projects can be completed more quickly than one can imagine (though it is interesting just how many times those deadlines are actually met). The underlying premise at Sweetwater is that "anything is possible," so it's inevitable that eventually you'll be faced with trying to make something that is seemingly impossible happen anyway.

Pros

Management provides good support and clear expectations. The pay is good and very closely tied to the work you do, your effort matters. The work is engaging and interesting. The culture is great and most employees have a close group of work friends, and there's ample time to build those relationships and support each other throughout the day. The cafeteria, hair salon, medical office, and gym are all awesome to have on campus.

Cons

Being paid on commission means your pay is inconsistent, but it means you get to directly influence your pay. That doesn't work for everyone. you need to be internally motivated and able to find work to do, no one is babysitting you to make sure you do your work, although there are required hours you need to be in the office for.
