      Pros

      Driving a truck and the seeing this amazing country. My husband really enjoyed the Academy at SWIFT.

      They don't seem to care about their employees. They say they do but it doesn't show

      Pros

      The first year or so is hell, but as you gain knowledge and skill you can make good $ after a couple of years. They are reasonable if you make an effort.

      Cons

      As all trucking companies are, they are deceptive to incoming students about what job is like. (Ridiculously long hours, impossible situations, mortal danger, inconsistent income...)

      See the country, learn what NOT to do by seeing their failures!

      Cons

      I have been w/ Swift over a year, Never home on-time, push you to lease or be a mentor, every paycheck I have to call b/c something is missing, you are just a truck# NOT a person, avg miles for solo company driver is 2000 per week, installing drivecams to watch you drive and in your cab while truck is on, expensive health insurance, terminals need renovating, the drivers showers are in the restrooms just like stalls (no privacy).
