Pros
The only reason I put 5 stars was so that everyone can see this review and help them to not fall for this company!!!!
Cons
For starters when you get hired you go to a 2-3 day orientation, and they tell you in the very last day that the 4-5 week training program will not be on your city but that will be located all over the US depending on the available instructors, you will not be returning to your home for those 4-5 weeks, they tell you that since you are gonna be in another city/state the company will give you travel allowance to help you with food expenses, YOU CANNOT TAKE A COOLER OR A LOT OF FOOD with you, given the fact that you are gonna be invading your instructor space and you should not be doing that, the pay during the training it's supposed to be $700 per week + the travel allowance. You are supposed to have the 34 hour restart every week at a hotel the company pays for, and they have laundry machines at the swift station so that you can wash your clothes in that time for free. After the hiring and orientation process they sent me in a bus to my location, a day before my arrival I was on that bus for 22 hours and when I got there on monday I had to start driving the same morning I arrived. -The instructor let me know on the first day that swift DOES NOT GIVE YOU TRAVEL ALLOWANCE as they claimed to when they hired me. -I was able to take my first bath after 3 days on the road. -I do not know what happened but when I got to the location after the first week on saturday morning (after I had ben driving on saturday also), my instructor moved the hours I do not know how so that I was able to keep driving even though I had no more hours, I finished driving on a saturday morning, they put me in hotel after noon and on SUNDAY IN EARLY MORNING I was driving AGAIN!! I did not get my 34 hour restart, I was not able to wash my clothes I was not able to REST, I had less than 18 hours to rest! After driving for almost 4000 miles that first week! My instructor also modified the book several times so the hours I was driving "looked like they were his" so I could keep driving. -The pay it's also a joke they pay you after the first 2 weeks and it's not $700, you end up with $500 ish per week, and no travel allowance, no rest. -After I told them I was leaving and not finishing training they kept changing my bus ticket everyday so I couldn't go home. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS COMPANY, almost every good thing they tell you at the hiring process it's a LIE!!
