Pros

Big name in the industry.

Cons

Bureaucratic behemoth. Very inefficient. US employees are regarded by Swiss as low class. Anachronistic systems.

Pros

Benefits and 401K more generous than most companies. Joining salary can be good.

Cons

Tough to compete and be market competitive. Zurich (home office) leadership does not understand US marketplace and competitive structure and ways of doing business. Speed to market is very slow. Raises are hard to come by, maybe one every 5 years or so.

Pros

Excellent benefits and exceptional 401k. Flexible work environment. Truly own the way your work! A leader in saving energy. Truly a go green firm.

Cons

Swiss Re is suppose to be a leader in the industry, but they certainly don't show it. Senior leadership says to "own your career" but in reality they pick who they choose to advance. There is no career opportunity for millennials. HR is awful! They know nothing about benefits.
