Pros

If you like to be rewarded for hard work, Swoon is the place for you. Swoon has great incentives, benefits, culture, commission, and people! Swoons entry level position is difficult. The first week might feel like you have never worked so hard in your life. The good news is, with the amazing support system around you, and the motivation that comes from wanting to push through, things start to make sense. Once things start to make sense, you will have a lot of room for growth. Leadership is always wanting feedback, speak up if needed!

Cons

recruiting is tough and not for everyone. If you are resilient, motivated, and positive, then this is the job for you.

No Work/Life Balance, Favoritism

Pros

The owner is wonderful. They’ll hire you with no experience. Great benefits, but horrible pay.

Cons

Swoon is like a high school. It is full of cliques and managers that are unprofessional and show favoritism. If they don’t like you, you’ll know it, and they won’t hide it from anyone. During my time there I saw many co-workers treated with disrespect. If you forget to log a note online, they will attack you and ask why you haven’t been working all day when you have, you might have forgot to note it right away. They stalk you 24/7 and you can never relax while on the clock. They don’t give a 2 week notice, and if they find out you are even interested in looking for another job, they’ll threaten to fire you on the spot. I was lucky not to go through that, but it didn’t stop me from noticing others. There is no work/life balance, I was told on multiple PTO days that I needed to log on to either make a call or compete a task on my days off. It is obvious that they burn through the entry level team knowing they’re all going to quit and they still wonder why they can’t retain talent. It’s a machine burning the people at the bottom so the people at the top can make more money. I’ll be honest and say personally I was lucky that my experience here was not that bad, but the things I saw how most everyone else was treated, I would not recommend to my worst enemy to work here.

Pros

Decent growth potential if you can stick it out. Moving into a sales position is the best way to maximize earning potential. A good place to gain experience. President’s club incentive. Recently moved away from recruiting for entry level positions which can be a headache.

Cons

Really poor base salaries, not nearly competitive enough with the market. Lack of trust with management. Metrics are to be expected but Swoon’s are significantly higher than multiple more well established firms. Terrible turnover, and not the typical “to be expected it’s agency recruiting” turnover, but rather a red flag that something needs to change from a leadership standpoint. A constant expectation to work late or put in time on the weekends. Leadership runs around trying to preach work life balance, but will also praise employees that work on weekends on company wide email chains, the message gets lost and the delivery feels stale. 401K doesn’t kick in until 12 months.
