Pros

Great company, good people, culture is still developing its own identity separate from IP... Corporate seems to be investing a lot into the mill!

Cons

Very high expectations of some people, and/or support departments and very low expectations of others. Senior management at the Eastover Mill needs to adapt to the times and stop living in the 90's

We recently experienced "Project Horizon", which was a large reduction in force of 150 employees. Employees were given different end dates, based on the business they support. How do you allow someone to come to work, inform them that their job is being eliminated in October and expect them to return to their job and be productive? The once fun and family feeling environment is no more. The mood is gloomy and there is a major distrust of Senior Leadership. The people we lost and are losing are good employees with families. Beware, this is only the beginning. They are moving all of the jobs that they can to Europe or Brazil.
