Pros

Internal learning classes were helpful Ability to move around different departments

Cons

Many high performers left due to being told they had opportunities for upward mobility only to watch those opportunities go to outside hires. Lack of integrity or respect in certain management areas Salaries were not competitive Culture seemed more focused on pushing particular political agenda's than on process improvement

I am grateful for the various professional development opportunities that Symetra offers and I’m glad you found them helpful. Symetra is working on identifying skills needed in the future to help employees be ready, but we will also have to bring in outside talent for their unique experience and perspective, as well. Pros

The absolute only good thing about the company, was a few great co workers.

Cons

Awful and out of touch manager. This was a computer nightmare. Training materials were out of date and simply frustrating . Horrible experience, truly a terrible division in a large company.

Benefits are fantastic and day 1 eligible

Cons

No growth, micromanagement, not remote ready-IT is horrible at assisting. The management talks a lot of politics in our country, expects you to have same beliefs, and partying is encouraged/expected
