Pros

Good PTO and work from home is a plus. Ive seen a lot of people promote through hard work.

Cons

Was moved around a lot to help other teams. Tried to keep a positive attitude but did not feel supported. Prepare to be micromanaged and only scores or how much work you do matters. Also, keep politics out of the workplace.

Pros

I enjoyed everyone I worked with at Symetra, especially the people on my team. There is a friendly culture with generous work from home policies.

Cons

Quarter and Year-end closes were quite busy, and at times the team felt short-staffed. That said, this may have been remedied. Though willing to promote from within, it at times felt that most promotions were opportunistic, meaning they generally occurred when someone left. The listed timeline for advancement can be limiting if you are a strong performer.
