From HR Business Partner Jeffrey Ward: Thank you for providing this feedback. Feedback from our employees is the best way for us to understand what we need to do to improve your experience. We are committed to ensuring that all employees have a work/life balance. If you haven’t already spoken with your aligned HR Business Partner (HRBP), I encourage you to do so. They meet with all managers on a regular basis, so they have a perspective of what’s happening in your business area and can provide some guidance. Lastly, we have an open door policy which means you can speak with leadership beyond your direct manager.

Good company to work for overall. Great benefits, nice work schedule, and most teams are supportive. Work-life balance is solid and the environment is generally low-stress.

Cons

Some departments have poor management and communication issues. Your experience really depends on your team and supervisor.

From Dave Kryzanski, VP Service & Operations: - Thank you providing feedback about your experience. I know how important the relationship with a manager can be in making Symetra a great place to work. We continuously work with our leaders to grow their skills sets, much like we do with our front line staff.
