Pros

At the beginning, it was a great team to work with for 2 years. Solid team and knowledgable about the field.

Cons

New management does not care if they are not profiting they just wanted to bring in their people and get rid of the employees who had the knowledge and growth for inexperienced and minimal pay employees

Pros

The pay is good and the benefits are great

Cons

If your looking for employment do not work here! You get false promises and staff that does not want to train you! They tell you whatever you want to hear just to get in you in the door! Goodluck with staff. No one wants you to excel over them because it will make them look bad. Instead of communicating with your staff as management to check in they send you a letter terminating you in the mail how unprofessional! Never late the job and one call out for an emergency!

Pros

The company itself has a lot going for it right now and is very recognizable on the food industry. They’re growing a lot and making some smart business decisions. Symrise works with a lot of big companies so a lot of interesting projects are happening in each business unit. There are also several international training programs that are great experience if you are presented with the opportunity to participate.

Cons

Being a Lab Technician, you have the opportunity to go to Germany for Flavorist training. It sounds really great in the interview, but it is most definitely not a guarantee. You are a lab tech for 2 years minimum, but most likely longer. The lab techs don’t assist flavorists in creating formulas, do not attend any meetings, and attend minimal tastings (even if you made the flavor). Most of the time you are just making a formula and there’s very little exposure to anything else. Should you decide this is not for you, I found it difficult to change departments.
