      In this office politics, manager generally prefer employees who have been with the company since the beginning. As a result, you will not receive any projects and might be assigned as a shadow resource. However, in such roles, you often cannot actively contribute because the primary person does not allow you to take ownership of tasks. This eventually affects your appraisal, manager says that you have not worked on any significant projects. Even if you request the manager to assign you projects, the response may be that the team is still awaiting new projects. Overall, office politics is at its peak.
