Pros

Access to incredibly bright minds, tens of thousands of projects and constant action and activity, dozens of clients and opportunities to be involved in multiple aspects of the pharma product lifecycle

Cons

Incredibly bright minds and other conscientious employees are overworked, underpaid, and micromanaged relentlessly until they burn out; tens of thousands of projects are understaffed at the expense of employees being guilted and harangued about staying billable so headcount is kept at a bare minimum and contractors are utilized to make the books look good for the short term even though reliable, competent employees being utilized at a reasonable level on a consistent basis would be the law of averages if head count wasn't managed as the only way to cut budget and increase revenue; dozens of clients would be be better served by more efficient processes, less red tape and back-door politicking and corporate gerrymandering, and products would get from lab to life more efficiently by reducing the "CYA" and "done is better than perfect" mentality that is prevalent.

Pros

I've been at Syneos Health for almost a year now and would recommend it to anyone looking for: - great culture of inclusion and support - your thoughts and ideas are listened to, your line managers are supportive, colleagues are collaborative and happy to help - good career opportunities across the globe - great senior leadership - no micromanagement, good opportunities to grow and learn new things - flexibility in terms of working hours and work from home - company that constantly evolves and looks for the smarter ways of work (new technologies, new approaches etc) - good compensation

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily call it "cons" but rather things to consider as some people may like it and some may not: - fast-paced environment - it is something that someone would really enjoy and for someone it may not be the best option, but when the team is ready to help and work together towards the same goal, this environment creates a good amount of great opportunities to succeed - quite often changes are part of the growth, but sometimes they may cause unsettlement among employees - would be great to have more options in terms of benefits (additional paid days off, holidays vouchers), although the base salary is competitive and somewhat even better than for instance RPO companies can offer in the TA space
