Pros

SYNH is a great place to work. Management supports new staff. Co-workers are amazing. Pay is competitive. Workload is standard for the industry.

Cons

Due to demanding workload it is sometimes hard to maneuver into areas of more interest and development within the role.

I had a few really lovely coworkers.

It really started to go downhill around the time of the INC/inVentiv merger. My department lost a lot of employees and our leadership had the brilliant idea to consolidate responsibilities across job titles, without actually changing our job titles or salaries, or hiring new employees. I broached the topic of a promotion with my manager multiple times over multiple years since I was fulfilling the responsibilities of a role above my level and receiving positive performance feedback. But it was never the right time and there was never a business need (despite so many people leaving...), so eventually I found another job and quit. Suddenly it WAS the right time for a promotion and a raise! Except the "raise" offered by this company with over $1 billion reported annual revenue was significantly less than I was offered to work at a non-profit. Oops!
