      Pros

      Important mission to feed the world. Lots of smart people to work with and interesting science. A global company with opportunities to work with people from across the world.

      Cons

      Some of the worst management I have ever seen. Generally incompetent, particularly middle managers. Some higher level leaders are very good, but lower level managers cannot seem to solve basic problems.

      work-life balance people are generally nice and easy to work with. flexibility to work and bring own ideas etc

      Cons

      extremely sluggish progress (maybe depends on the department) headless performance review system. it discourages and frustrates the employees more. middle management helpless, if you want career progress (i guess some departments are better). (many other reviewers here have mentioned the "selective promotions"...i fear they maybe right)
