Resistance in trying new ways of doing things. No strategic focus and very non-employee focused. Management focused primarily on cost and not on growth.

Definitely who you know that counts here. There are still people here with little or no education who have been here forever and are power hungry; they are ill equipped to handle change or manage anything, let alone other people who are educated and intelligent.
