      Too much outsourcing which leads to too much self-service

      Pros

      The people in this company are mostly smart, dedicated employees. The benefits are above most other companies, and the idea of the company is worthwhile: feeding the world.

      Cons

      There is too much outsourcing. The outsourced companies are not reliable or effective. We can't be focused on the customer because we spend so much time doing the self-service tasks. While it may be cheaper to pay for people working in India, the soft dollar cost to the Syngenta employees makes it a losing venture. The company is on a downward trend.

      Pros

      Good collegues, good benefits, good work environment. Had good vision but now it seems the focus is weaker.

      Cons

      Outsourced HR and finance had added huge implications and inconvenience to all employees. The program of outsource might be better if it is properly managed.
