This is a bad place to work at if you're terrified of responsibility, suck at phone conversations, or have an ego made of paper. Although our new office has us ready for a lot of growth, this is currently a small company with a finite amount of human resources. The very same mentors you go to for guidance may very well be whisked away to meet with a client for several days. It falls upon YOU to take the initiative and do whats best with or without supervision. Unless you're a developer maybe, at some point you WILL be on the phone with anyone ranging from a secretary to a vice president of construction for a multi-billion dollar company. These folks work in an extremely busy and stressful industry, and you're not doing them a favor if you easily lose your cool in a high-level conversation.
Management is just as quick to shower you with praise as they are to tell you you're majorly screwing something up. Do NOT apply for here if you easily interpret brusque wording as anger or disappointment. I said management will do everything in their power to help you mold yourself into a professional—babying you is not one of these things.
