Pros

Working as a software developer for almost 5 years now. It's been great learning experience so far. You can literally walk to each and everyone for questions. Great atmosphere and fellow colleagues. Management always listen to concerns and feedback. Office parties are fun. Very casual office atmosphere. Software product is awesome and as a developer all the suggestions and enhancements are always encouraged. Lots of learning opportunity.

Cons

Nothing that I could think of.

Pros

You get to work with a company that puts their all into making their product the best there is. In a market full of competitors with countless millions to spend on developing and marketing their products, the reason why Systemates remains a market leader is equal parts due to the stellar quality of the product and the dedication given to you through every stage working with us. It's an excellent place to develop your portfolio, and the sheer amount of responsibility given to each employee encourages you to dabble in every resource the company has to get the job done. Management loves to see you do this and will do everything in their power to help you mold yourself into a self-reliant professional. I can't emphasize enough how great the company culture and work/life balance is. Everyone is extremely friendly and is more than happy to help you with things both work related and non-work related. There's not a lot of PTO to go around, but everyone understands that you're not a robot and that you've got hobbies or need a breather on occasion. Be forthcoming with what you want, because that is always more appreciated and easier to work with here.

Cons

This is a bad place to work at if you're terrified of responsibility, suck at phone conversations, or have an ego made of paper. Although our new office has us ready for a lot of growth, this is currently a small company with a finite amount of human resources. The very same mentors you go to for guidance may very well be whisked away to meet with a client for several days. It falls upon YOU to take the initiative and do whats best with or without supervision. Unless you're a developer maybe, at some point you WILL be on the phone with anyone ranging from a secretary to a vice president of construction for a multi-billion dollar company. These folks work in an extremely busy and stressful industry, and you're not doing them a favor if you easily lose your cool in a high-level conversation. Management is just as quick to shower you with praise as they are to tell you you're majorly screwing something up. Do NOT apply for here if you easily interpret brusque wording as anger or disappointment. I said management will do everything in their power to help you mold yourself into a professional—babying you is not one of these things.

Pros

The product is good. But that's about it.

Cons

Very micromanaged office, emails and everything is kept an eye on. You never know what to expect or what the goal is. No clear vision. Very discouraging and negative environment. Can't take PTO within first year. During a short time there I watched several people come and go quickly. Not to mention there are only about 8 people who work there to begin with. Obviously after negative reviews they asked current employees to submit positive ones.
