Pros

Work with nice people, the managers are mainly friendly and approachable. Can be very rewarding helping customers. We are actively encouraged to talk to and chat to customers and to get wows. We are always congratulated when we get a wow Lost of opportunities for overtime Good varierety or work, so are not always doing the same thing

Cons

The managers do not always talk to each other which has caused me some problems, one serious in the past regarding a lost holiday form. I have also been treated badly by a couple of managers because of this and was not treated well when returning to work after a holiday when the new Brighton store opened and finding out my nan died in France. Managers seem to have there favourite members of staff who are encouraged and given all the opportunities and training to progress within the company. I have worked for them for 5 years and when asked my manager if there were opportunities to progress I was told I would not be suitable. I did not think this was fair as I would have liked a chance to prove myself. You are sometimes given a unrealistic amount of work to do in a short period of time Four hour shifts on the fitting rooms are to much, these are given to the same people. We should go back to the two hour shifts

Pros

Money, staff discount, associate room

Cons

Associates are treated like objects that are part of the company, even younger members of the management team talk down on older ladies that are part of the associate teams, we always get threaten with losing our jobs, always pushed to the limits of a nervous breakdown. Members of staff protect each other and quite often make fun of the associates on the shop floor and system’s office, they are bullies. If the store manager doesn’t like us we have no one else to talk to so we have to do all their whims.

Pros

Quite a fun, relaxed, fast-paced atmosphere where there is always a variety of things to do. The management are really nice and understanding and the company is quite flexible with your hours.

Cons

If you're working part-time you may struggle to get enough hours. The company now only employs people on 8 and 12 hour contracts.
