Pros

Steady paycheck, not a great paycheck, but steady.

Cons

“Management” in most departments is inadequate and completely out of touch. Employees are burnt out, under paid, over capacity, and there is no end in sight. If it wasn’t for this awful job market, a lot of us would have left already.

Pros

TAIT is a major player in the entertainment industry, working with top-tier clients like prominent rock stars, cruise lines and theme parks. TAIT is widely respected for its capabilities in complex stage and event production.

Cons

In the UK, TAIT has faced repeated rounds of redundancies, including a recent 25% reduction across all UK sites. The company applies its U.S.-centric model in the UK, which doesn't align with the local market or clients' cost expectations. Recent acquisitions, including by Goldman Sachs, have raised concerns among employees about potential cost-cutting and profit-maximizing tactics at the expense of job security. Following a recent data breach, the company downplayed the incident as an "outage," leading to employee frustration regarding transparency and security protocols. U.S.-based leadership dismisses feedback from the UK team, contributing to low morale and dissatisfaction.

Thanks for sharing this feedback. It can be hard to voice frustrations and concerns and we appreciate your courage in sharing them. We are currently engaged in a proposal process in the UK and are working closely with employee representatives and impacted individuals. This is a challenging time for our UK teams and we recognise there is an emotional impact. We are excited about our new partnership with Goldman Sachs. They believe strongly in our teams and the future of our business. We also realise it can be frustrating when we are limited in the details that can be shared about incidents like the recent outage. Our team does their best to share as much as possible while protecting privacy and the integrity of the organisation. We look forward to continue serving the many incredible experiences brought to audiences across venues. We believe in the strength of the UK live entertainment market today and in the future. We realise it may be hard to see that as you and your colleagues are in the midst of the proposal process. If you are open to it, we would like to hear more about your concerns directly. Please reach out to your employee representative or your People Business Partner.
