Pros

Hires good people, tries hard to enable employees to balance work and family. Benefits are pretty good~~~~~ CEO Bharat Masrani needs to put out a private survey and insure that ones honestly will not jeopardize their jobs. To re visit the State's and speak to those who care about the their job and TD as a whole. We want a better and more comfortable environment to work it, which in return will make TD # 1~~~~~

Cons

Lost many long time excellent workers due the unfair management. Management is way to comfortable in there positions. Some work so hard and many others have a free ride. Advancement to move up is pick on who is friends with management. ALWAYS SHORT HANDED NEEDS A BETTER SYSTEM. But not willing to listen to ideas. Or apply them cause management thinks they know better. Time to clean house.

Pros

Get to take care of the branch with little to no micro managing

Cons

you are responsible for everything yet you don't get to make the decisions. Store managers are oblivious on how to run the store and they get all the credit when the store is successful but the ASM gets all the blame when things go bad.

Pros

The 401k matching was above average, tuition reimbursement was available (not great but better than nothing), and the company promotes tolerance and acceptance of all people.

Cons

I worked in 3 different departments during the 5+ years I worked at TD. Retail banking - great place to start for young people (look to move on after a year) or for part time mom's who just want to get out of the house, earn a small check - TONS OF PRESSURE TO MAKE SALES.... Loan Processing - absolutely inundated with work, unrealistic expectations from management, negative environment; Small Business Credit Center - this was the best of the 3 environments and most enjoyable, least pressured job. Still not a team environment. OVERALL - taking all jobs into account I can tell you it is VERY HARD to ever move up here. One step up is a measly 3% raise. Salary is awful here (probably different for exec's). In 2010 I started at $12 an hour. When I left I was making $17+ and I always had extremely good reviews. Most people never get the coveted "E" for excellent, I got it several times consecutively but still no chance to move up here. Every job I got by applying to a million postings and barely getting any interviews, but I interview well and usually landed the job if i could get the interview. None of my job changes were due to simply receiving a promotion or networking. It was just like applying to jobs at an outside company. START HERE BUT LEAVE AFTER A YEAR IF YOU CAN!!!!
