Pros

The work-life balance is huge. They have a very generous time off policy. PTO or paid time off can be utilized in 15 minute increments and you begin to accrue that PTO once you walk in your first day. Other pros are a company wide recognition culture and visibility to Senior Management.

Cons

The fact that TD is so huge and only being part of 1 small piece is difficult to gauge. The medical insurance plans are mediocre. They are expensive weather family or single. Another con is the several layers of management at least in my realm of the business. It is a con in my opinion because your boss cannot manage you because he is always in a meeting and not available.

Excellent training, but underpaid

Pros

Good training program; if you have a degree and the necessary skills you can really move up. A strong sense of office politics helps- and you HAVE to be a salesperson. They reward you when you individually meet goals, and when your store overall meets goals. They also have tuition reimbursement.

Cons

TD Bank is a "retail" bank. They want you to sell services and products, and if you can't/won't then you will not have a job for very long. The goals are sometimes unreasonably high as well. Pay is disappointing compared to their competitors, and they don't pay very well for internal promotions; an externally hired Head Teller could be making $8,000 more per year than an internally promoted one. Open 7 days a week, so expect to work Sundays at least occasionally.
