Pros
I worked in Bend, which is an amazing place. The news department is well funded as far as equipment and opportunities. They sent a team to the super bowl, to the Oscars... so they are doing things differently and have attracted some great talent in front of the camera.
Cons
For reporters, photographers...anyone who's behind the scenes, pay raises are hard to come by especially under new management. I was asked to take on the responsibilities for multiple jobs that were not the job I was hired for, eventually got a massive promotion but no raise to show for it despite multiple meetings with my direct supervisor.
