      Pros

      Some of the best storytellers on the globe work for a Tegna Station. They truly believe in Storytelling.

      Cons

      Salaries are NOT commiserate with cost of living in any city. 2%3% raises (if you get one) are all they are willing to give. Feedback is almost nonexistent. Corporate and local stations are not on the same page with direction of the company. MMJ concept is very lopsided and management does not seem to care if they sink or swim. They just want the black holes between commercials. Training is almost nonexistent as well.

      Pros

      I've worked for a good bit of FORTUNE 500 Companies, and TEGNA is an ideas company! The leadership encourages big ideas and purpose supports vision to really make a difference. You have to be a self-starter, and the work is not always defined, but its a place that you can change the landscape of your discipline and feel like your really leaving your mark. Very impressed with the CEO and Senior Leaders. CEO is not as visible but has a strong focus on community and employees. CEO is a woman, and is all about empowerment, keeping your head down and working hard. Leadership offers many opportunities to take on new work, and allow anyone to be strategic no matter title. Great Company - in 2 years I've learned more than in 10 years at past large companies.

      Cons

      Long hours, work not always defined, and have to be a self-starter and aggressive to get ahead and drive ideas forward. Not enough communications from Leadership Team, we want to hear more from them, see them more.
