Weak leadership, extremely low pay, 48k after years of experience. That’s not even a living wage in SoCal. Their news will tell you that but they won’t do anything to help you. Local leadership is powerless and corporate leadership is out of touch and greedy. Internal promotions are very hard to come by and the new talent they hire instead is a joke. Just look at their on-air reporters and graphics: unprofessional. Remote work is a four-letter word to them, regardless that the entire corporate model is based around remote hubs.

Low Salary - Myself and many of my coworkers were struggling financially. Poor Management - Little interest in personal/professional growth or overall happiness of employees. Lots of turnover within the department and employees are often thrown under the bus when issues with workflow and partner news stations are encountered. Little to no room for growth - Very few opportunities to develop new marketable skills. Few opportunities for advancement and low ceiling if/when you do advance.
