Pros

One of the best companies to start a career after college. You learn so much, and have the ability to make really good money right out of college. A lot of great people, and a ton of fun along the way. After 3+ years at TEK, you can get a job at a lot of great companies like Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Amazon etc... The entire recruiting divisions at these companies are filled with former TEKsystems recruiters.

Cons

Not a lot of people in the company over the age of 30. Once you're there for a few years you certainly feel like you're starting to out-grow the company. There is definitely an opportunity to make a lot of money, but you start to realize there is a small group who does well and a very large group who is not making anything. The company is also very old school. A lot of the leadership thinks it's still 1983.

Pros

TEKsystems is a great way to get your foot into the door for sales or recruiting. They have an in depth training program that will teach you the ins and outs of recruiting. The onboarding process and organization will depend on who your lead/or Account Manager is. They will get you operating on a high level and you will be able to build on that skill set and continue to use it there or use your skill set at a different company. If you are social and like hanging out with your co-workers outside of work hours then you will enjoy the many happy hours and celebrations that they do. There are many different career avenues if you enjoy staffing and the sales environment. You can make a lot of money if you stay but given with the market currently you can get paid more and do less work somewhere else.

Cons

First and foremost company culture is toxic plain and simple. They have a hustle culture and you will get burned out. They reward and applaud people for working the weekends and holidays. One girl got a promotion and worked Christmas Eve to get there, no thanks! Happy hours are pretty much mandatory and if you do not want to go people will question why. Contractors contact you all hours of the day and have no respect for your time or life. You will not be paid if they are calling you outside of business hours. TEKsystems is operating on a very old business model. They do not have remote flexibility for anyone who has not hit a contest (sales goal). Depending on your office you will be mandated to be in the office 4-5 times a week. They also pay new comers like contractors. You are paid an hourly rate for 2-3 months until converted full time. There are also no benefits. You get the same insurance as the external contractors. There is no 401K matching or company provided life insurance. You get a base salary, PTO, and potential to make a lot of money. You will be HEAVILY micromanaged depending on the team that you are on. My team was micromanaged and had absolutely no autonomy. They were constantly keeping up with your schedule, allocation, when and why you were or were not in the office, etc. Also, the team I operated on had a few women who acted like high schoolers (gossiping at their desk for 10-15 minutes while you are trying to do your job. I guess this is why you are in the office for "collaboration"). They bad mouth anyone who leaves the company and anyone who does not fit in with their cookie cutter mold. You will be on a hamster wheel. This job has very few rewarding aspects to it and will be sold as "potential". Potential to make 6 figures and make a lot of money but it will take you years to get there. There are also a lot of uncontrollable things about this job. All of your commission is based on when your contractors (consultants) are working and if they quit then say good bye to the spread, if they are out sick say goodbye to that money, if they want a vacation say goodbye to that money. This is where the hamster wheel aspect comes in. You are constantly working hard to make commission and then constantly working to replace the commission you have falling off. Even the people that make a lot of money in the company are seldom happy, more money equals more stress. Account managers are unorganized as well. Account managers will want you to allocate to their poorly qualified reqs or reqs with hiring managers who want unicorns and do not want to pay the piper. You will spend your wheels all week just for them to close the job or change the requirements last minute. The pay is a joke for what you have to do. Plain and simple, the commission percentage is horrible and you will make the company hundreds of thousands of dollars and make maybe 60K that year. Relationships can be transactional. Your recruiter lead will make commission for every start you get. Even if they are not a good recruiter lead and you are self sufficient they will make money off of you since the company does not compensate them for being a recruiter lead and being a recruiter at the same time.
