THIS PLACE IS SUCH A TOXIC ENVIRONMENT!!!! Honestly, it was the longest 10 months of my life while I worked there and it put me into therapy. At first, everyone is friendly and management does an excellent job at pumping up the new hires when they first start, but then it changes after a couple of months of being there. Once you are no longer an hourly employee (which can take up to months because you have to hit 3k in commission and this job is very unpredictable) you are still expected to work the same amount of hours as a salaried employee. You just won't be hitting that over-time, so they are literally working you to death. I was making more as hourly employee compared to when I was a salaried because of that overtime. I would start my day at 7:15 AM and wouldn't leave most nights until 8 PM - 9 PM as a hourly/salaried employee. If you leave early, regardless if you are salaried, people will actually ask you if you are taking a half-day. Sure, it may be a joke at first, but just wait, Account Managers and Management will make a comment to you if you continue to leave at 5:00 PM, EVEN IF YOU ARE HITTING YOUR GOALS FOR THE WEEK. On top of that, you are required to take people out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, it can become a real struggle. Of course you get reimbursed, but it's not like you are making a lot of money to begin with and you don't see that money until the end of the month, so it can become very challenging and will add additional stress to your life. The work/life balance is just non-existent with this company. Even at lunch, you are still working because you have to meet with people! It's just crazy. I was a very good recruiter and it took my family to convenience me to quit because it was no longer healthy for me, mentally and physically. I gave this company my blood, sweat and tears and in return they gave me PTSD. I am not even kidding. I went to therapy after leaving because the team was so toxic and they broke my spirit as well as many of my peers. The bullies that bullied me, are still on that Raleigh team in 2019. If you do decide to join this team in Raleigh, know that it is going to be a mind game. Get in and learn as much as you can and then get out! You will make a lot of great connections with people if you are a good recruiter, and your connections will offer you jobs in return for helping them. That is the only reason why I would tell someone to stay or to work for this company if they don't have anything else lined up. This company is not a long term type of company. Management will tell you to 'commit' to 2 years. Just shake your head yes, but do not do it. You will be able to make twice as much compared to the money after you leave TEKsystems, even if you have only been there for a short time. Even if you hit commission at TEKsystems (which is 8K) your commission check is only about 200 dollars after taxes... it's just not justifiable for the amount of hours that recruiters/AM's put in for this company.
******The stars below under the category for "career opportunities" is not meant for TEKsystems, but is for the doors that TEKsystems will open after being there as little as 5 months.*****
