Pros
They actually have a pretty decent training program, which can be used for any future companies you may join, regardless of industry.
Cons
ZERO work life balance. They tell you that is important to them, but it is a lie. If you leave at 5 or 5:30 to lets say go to the gym, or go to your kid's game, etc. they say its fine, but their tone of voice in the response says otherwise. Also, you can work until 10pm one night, but if you get in at 7:31 the next morning, be prepared to be sat down and spoken to about being on time. The belief at TEK is, "if you don't have a family or kids there's no reason why you can't stay late at least 3 days a week." So they tell you all the money you can make there, but you can never spend it because you're always there! I was also expected to work on my vacations and weekends, of course. If you're not a favored employee, you'll actually get looked down upon for USING your vacation days. I was also told by leadership that if you were struggling (which you'll ALWAYS struggle at some point in any sales role) that I shouldn't be worried about going to the doctor, but worried about my commission. Not really a great way of life. FAVORITISM...and not a lot of standards. One day they roll out this rule and initiative, the next week that all changes. Even if you are high performing, if the boss doesn't believe in you then you're basically on your own. Half of the things people do/say at TEK, INCLUDING the directors, would never fly at other companies. Too many people making high commission and doing absolutely nothing all day are getting praised, and when others are working hard to build up their territory/spread, if it is not fast enough they are being let go.
