100% Remote job, Contract, Hourly, Great Position!
Pros
Working 100% from home. Pay is relatively good ($32+/hr). Hours are pretty good (M-F, 10am-7pm). Good relationship with client Starbucks, with a track record of Starbucks hiring members to their corporate team. Hoping to work hard, long, and effectively enough to receive a corporate job offer one day. Starbucks had TEKsystems include 5 days of PTO into our year contracts.
Cons
Insurance is bad and expensive for contractors. TEKsystems contractors aren’t always given good treatment, but some clients like mine can and do treat contractors mostly like their normal / corporate workers (like Starbucks). TEKsystems does not offer paid sick days for almost all US states (including Ohio, Indiana, and most others). You will likely not get many benefits as a contract workers. It’s my understanding TEKsystems corporate workers do get better insurance, better pay, and benefits in general.
