      Pros

      Great work environment, many new hires who are friendly and helpful. Managers are also very supporting.

      Cons

      Pay is obviously not as high as other companies like Microsoft or Amazon. Working on large scale projects is frustrating.

      Pros

      Consistently rates as one of the best employers to work for in Canada. Things that stand out for me are: Decent vacation allotment - not outrageous, but starting out at three weeks is pretty good. Very good benefits package and internal employee support through employee assistance programs. Very good retirement plan and employee share plan. Number 1 Philanthropic corporation on the planet for 2009 - and that's something to be very proud of! Where possible, meritocracy prevails (union may be somewhat different with seniority playing a more substantial part.) Wages are somewhat lower than industry but there's always a balance with all of the other HR initiatives there for employees. Good learning & development support.

      Cons

      On the negative side, performance-based compensation tends to get very poorly applied and managed (either Sales Incentive or MVRP), which can cause significant hard feelings with high performers who should be appropriately rewarded.

      Pros

      - best telco to work for in Canada / best positioned for growth - can get great visibility if you have a manager that truly supports you (best that s rare!) - senior management team is one of the best in the industry

      Cons

      - company has a lack of focus - strategy and direction change every few other month - got 4 different bosses in the past 2 years - performance appraisal process is totally skewed
