Pros

In Sales, Telus is a household name and opens doors. However that can play against you at times. If asked about the best reason to work at TELUS. I must say the work life balance has proved to be very helpful to assist managing my life between work and family.Telus also offers very good training which is great for personal development and looks great on the resume.

Cons

TELUS is a highly politically charged company. If you are not a player you will be regarded in a support role. This is regardless if you are great at your job. Also, TELUS doesn't play by its own rules. They make you sign a commission contract yet the interpretation of the details are at question. What is worse is they will not open the Komono to provide a detailed explaination Lastly, I understand the importance of keeping with the market place and change is required but radical surgery is not always necessary

Pros

It depends on the department: We have a fair level of autonomy and generally are allowed to get the job done by any means necessary. In my team we get access to new technology and can experiment with new protocols and devices. Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

Completely inept project management and backstabbing middle management. Zero support of bargaining unit. Geoprobe doesn't work. Brix is a piece of garbage. NDA's with termination clauses.

Pros

Growth company, good benefits, lots of opportunity to have several different careers within the same company. If you what to develop yourself, TELUS will pay for your education.

Cons

Large corporation can be impersonal and political at times. The forced distribution performance rating system is somewhat disatisfying, particularly if you work in a high performing group.
