The technology used within the company can be antiquated. Seems more investment is coming but not the first time I'd heard that.

Culture is poor and there is a lack of trust with leadership. How can employees work at their best when they feel like they can be laid off any day? Keeping the company strong and competitive is everyone's responsibility, but it starts at the top.
