      Good for a first job

      Pros

      - Pretty easy, while first starting out. - Flexible hours. - Friendly and helpful co-workers. There has been little drama at my job and everyone is helping each other out. But of course, that doesn't apply to every store. - (Could be either a con or a pro) They give few hours to part-timers, so if you're taking a heavy course load at school, this stop won't interfere with that. However, if you want to make a decent amount of money, this might not be a great job. - Pretty easy job for the most part, nothing too complicated. I personally like my job because I'm able to go to school, keep up with homework, make a little extra cash while also being able to have some free time. If they paid a little more, this job would be great for anyone who likes working in retail.

      Cons

      - You basically have to learn everything yourself. Yes, one of my coworkers did train me and my managers were very eager to answer any questions, but they do tend to forget that you won't learn everything all at once. So sometimes, they would tell me, make a tag for that shirt, or answer the phone, and they never even went over any of that with me. So, a lot of this just trying to paying attention, asking questions, and learning as you along. - You only get paid minimum wage as a sales associate/cashier. - Store gets very messy and it can be a little overwhelming. - Customers sometimes ask annoying questions. - Working on the cashier is pretty stressful. - But working in the dressing room is a complete bore. - The more availability you have, the crazier your schedule will be. One week you might be working 2 days a week, the next 5, or having to stay until close one day, and then be there at 7 am the next, so be specific about your availability from the start.
