Pros

This was my first job and it was pretty easy and laid back. They're very flexible with students. It's a good job for younger people. My store was small so I knew and got along with everyone. The managers were professional and easy to get along with as well.

Cons

Low pay Little hours, some weeks I would only work 10-16 a week. During holidays, the most I worked was 27 hours Little to no full time positions for associates Wasn't encouraged to move up in the company. Given the same treatment as associates who worked poorly; no recognition for going above and beyond

Pros

It's an easy job and is flexible with your schedule. If you work hard there is room for growth. A lot of your experience working here also depends on management. If you work there long enough they do have a decent benefit program.

Cons

The pay is low and overall there is a general sense that the company doesn't care about its employees (because honestly it doesn't care about associates).

TJ Maxx has nice home decor.

Cons

Terrible management! If I did not have to rate, it would not be a one star. Every manager had favorites. Most of the managers where afraid of the employees. Terrible communication skills. If you are a good worker the managers would take advantage of that. A lot of the mangers did not know how to preform simple task. It was a terrible experience.
