Good staff running a bad program

Pros

The PST staff are excellent teachers and work hard to prepare fellows in a short period of time. The fellows generally are very friendly and supportive towards one another.

Cons

The preparation is completely inadequate, and about 20% of fellows in my year quit early in PST. The evaluations are very context-dependent, and generally unhelpful. The Marian courses are largely a joke-busywork is assigned by teachers who are way too busy to be helpful.

A professional transition program that can help people interested in the education profession. Also gives people access to the Master in Education at Marian University at a reduced cost.

Cons

Training is very pieced together. There is a lot of focus on process rather than content which leaves you unprepared for the actual tasks related to the position. They need to make the courses at Marian more serius
