Pros

Pays well for the area

Cons

Weak engineering culture where the loudest voice always wins. Leadership ignores and belittles concerns of engineers. Lack of alignment throughout the entire organization. Too much mid-level management pushing their own agenda while failing to actually impact the organization. Low probability of actually changing the industry and delivering a product, but burns a ton of Daimler's money every year and somehow justifies continuing to grow their headcount. Filled with opinionated junior engineers in their first job who have never delivered a product.

Pros

Fair pay, decent benefits, 401k match.

Cons

Abq office is toxic. The Fleet Operations department is corrupt. Leadership has a tight friend group, and makes anyone not in their circle a threat. The treatment of women is here is horrible, plain and simple. You will be ignored, spoken over, and degraded regularly. You will not get credit for ideas or call outs. It's been really sad to watch this company downgrade over the years.

Pros

I have been working at Torc Robotics for more than two years now, and I believe it is essential to share my experiences to shed some light on the recent negativity posted on Glassdoor. It seems highly likely that a disgruntled former employee is trying to discredit the company out of spite, which is truly unfortunate, as my experience at Torc has been nothing short of exceptional. First and foremost, the company culture at Torc Robotics is unparalleled. The team is highly collaborative, supportive, and driven by a shared passion for innovation and advancement in autonomous technology. Management is approachable and open to employee feedback, often implementing suggestions to improve the workplace and address concerns. The work environment is highly conducive to professional growth, with numerous opportunities for learning and development. As a part of the Torc team, I have personally experienced a great deal of growth in my skills and abilities, and I have been consistently challenged to expand my horizons. The company offers competitive compensation and benefits packages, which demonstrates their commitment to valuing and investing in employees. Furthermore, Torc values work-life balance and encourages employees to find a sustainable balance between their professional and personal lives. It is important to note that Torc Robotics, like any other company, is not perfect. However, the company is proactive in addressing concerns, and it has an open-door policy where employees are free to share their thoughts and opinions. In conclusion, I strongly believe that the recent negative reviews do not accurately represent the Torc Robotics I know and have experienced. It is unfortunate that one individual's bitterness is attempting to tarnish the company's reputation. If you are a prospective employee considering joining the Torc Robotics team, I wholeheartedly recommend taking the opportunity to work with this amazing group of professionals and be a part of a thriving and innovative company.

Cons

Due to the fast-paced and rapidly evolving nature of the autonomous vehicle industry, the workload can sometimes be demanding and require extra effort to keep up with the latest developments. However, this also presents a great opportunity for professional growth and learning, as employees are consistently challenged to stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technology. The company is aware of this challenge and actively encourages work-life balance, striving to ensure that employees are not overwhelmed.
