Pros

On site team members still retain the original culture, pay is great for the area, the end vision would be incredible to be a part of

Cons

Senior leadership (VP+) is disconnected and uninformed, intermediate goals are not what they need to be to keep the company on track, people making product and high level technical decisions are remote and unaware of real problems, managers are blocked from hiring people that actually produce value while executives and staff level personnel continue to be hired burning budget for little to no gain, and worst of all the company values are compromised in the name of on time delivery

Pros

* You'll work with some of the brightest, hardworking, passionate people in the industry. * You'll learn a lot and be challenged. * The lower level management genuinely care for their workers.

Cons

* Executive Leadership level are beyond incompetent. * You'll be joining a company already on the verge of failure. * You'll consistently be told by leadership how great the company is doing, While in the same breath being told they're closing multiple locations for monetary reasons. * YEARS behind competitors due in part to constant departmental changes at the hands of leadership that take months to recover from. * Will have to listen to the incessant lies from leadership calling their lack of planning and lack of deliverables as 'strategic decisions'. Torc should have everything it needs to succeed and deliver on their vision of being the leading autonomous trucking solution. Unfortunately, not even a partnership with the industry leading OEM manufacturer, an extremely passionate and committed workforce, and what seems to be near limitless funding can stand up to the pure disorder that is our ELT. A company will reach the goal of launching Autonomous semi trucks on public roads. Torc isn't that company.

Pros

Team atmosphere is amazing, people are fun to be around. Great collaboration across teams. That part of the culture has not changed. Feel supported up to middle management. Fun atmosphere, great people!

Cons

Over the last year it has become clear that new senior leadership does not trust anyone they preside over. That can be the VP's under them all the way down to managers over teams. Every small decision has to run through the CTO and his office (thus it takes forever to get things back). What is the point of middle management if they never make the decisions themselves or the people they preside over and/or are constantly scrutinized without good reason. Senior leadership wants "data driven decisions" (and there is nothing wrong with that). However, when the engineers turn around and provide those data driven decisions, senior leadership make decisions regardless of the data that is handed to them.
