Pros

TPI has a great set of Core Values and an empowering mission statement which the entire company believes in 100%. The managers feel more like leaders. I feel they genuinely care, not only about the company but about how the employees are learning and growing as people which is hard to find these days!

Cons

I feel the benefits could be improved to be more competitive with other companies. TPI is always trying to be a leader in the hospitality world which is awesome, but I feel it's one area where they can improve upon.

Pros

TPI Hospitality hotels, restaurants, and conference centers are almost all in the state of Minnesota and many in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area so there are many opportunities to grow your career within TPI Hospitality and still stay in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Hotel discounts when you are traveling across many brands including Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Best Western is a great perk!

Cons

An employee has to make themselves valuable. If you are a mediocre employee and expect management to notice you, that's not going to happen. Ask for additional responsibilities, go above and beyond your role, don't ever say 'that's not my job', and set an example for others to follow. These are things that get noticed by management and lead to growth in your career.

Thank you for reviewing TPI Hospitality! We do appreciate our employees who are willing to go above and beyond "their" duties to not only help TPI as a whole grow, but themselves as well. I'm glad you enjoy the traveling perks with our nationally recognized brands.

Great place for a Lifeguard

Pros

Lifeguarding with Torgerson Properties pays slightly higher than the going rate in the area, specifically $1.50 more per hour than local YMCA's, etc. And the job itself is incredibly easy. The environment is positive and clean.

Cons

The only cons are that some of the "lead lifeguards" seem to feel mighty and powerful in their position, and enjoy controlling others. I am not challenging their authority here, as some are great at leading. However, this position is changed often, and the actual waterpark manager is a good person, and an effective leader. So this is a minor complaint.
