For people that have seniority and can provide solutions to most technical problems, it's a company that provides the tools and environment to learn up-to-date technologies and techniques, provided that you can recommend them to solve a problem.

Cons

Not all departments work the same or share the same culture. At least in my department, I have the freedom to recommend and implement solutions that I can justify professionally.
