Pros

If you have no life and are willing to work constantly then I would say the pay is good. I've met some wonderful people.

Cons

Management is completely clueless. The SOP (rule book) is CONSTANTLY changing and you are expected to know and keep up with all changes even though you aren't given much, if any, time to train. You are micro-managed and treated as a number. You slave away for 6hrs as a part timer only to receive a 15 min break. Schedule changes every 6 months and the chances of working within 9-5 are slim to none.

Pros

Get your foot in the door to a government job. Stable job, good benefits.

Cons

Irregular work schedules. Pay banding causes salary to stagnate and workers get little to no raise for years. Too much use of part time workers, slow advancement to full time. High turnover, people get stressed out and tired of waiting for better pay, advancement and full time work.

Pros

Good Working Hours, Low Stress

Cons

Terrible favoritism practices, hiring of non deserving candidates for mid and senior level leadership. Pay increases are essential to maximize potential and productivity, no in band pay increases is ridiculous.
